MINI TOAD-IN-THE-HOLE
Ingredients (Serves 4 child portions, leftovers can be frozen individually!)
🛒 4 Nana Manners Silly Sausages (star or triangle shape work well, both available at Tescos )
🛒 70g plain flour
🛒 1 free-range egg
🛒 100ml milk (or your choice)
🛒 2 tbsps olive oil
✅ How to cook -
⭐️ To make your batter, sieve your flour into a medium sized bowl.
⭐️ Make a well in the middle and crack in your egg.
⭐️ Whisk the egg slowly into the flour and then pour in the milk while you whisk so that you have a lump-free batter (if the batter is too thick then add a little water).
⭐️ Cover the batter and rest in the fridge for one hour.
When ready, preheat your oven to 180C Fan.
⭐️ Put a Yorkshire pudding roasting tray into the preheated oven and once really hot, add the olive oil and the sausages.
⭐️ Whisk the rested batter and pour it into the hot tin around the sausages.
⭐️ Return to the oven and cook for a further 15 minutes, or until the batter is risen and golden-brown all over, enjoy!
